The Gruffalo

Posted by: | March 28, 2010 | 3 Comments |

Here are the photos which show all the hard work you put into that Gruffalo puppet show last week. Well done to all of the script writers, set designers, prop makers, puppet designers, voice artists and puppeteers! The show couldn’t have happened without all of your hard work. I was incredibly proud of you all. Well done!

I am trying to put the video of the show on here too, so keep checking back over the holidays.

Book Week!

Posted by: | March 7, 2010 | 3 Comments |

As it is book week in school at the moment, and we are all involved in lots of book related activities, I thought it would be nice to share some of your favourite books with each other.

One of my favourite books is Peter Pan by J.M Barrie. I remember reading it when the film Hook came out (I was about your age then) and thinking it was absolutely fantastic! I haven’t read it for a long time, so maybe we can use it as a class novel.

What are you up to?

Posted by: | February 15, 2010 | 21 Comments |

Hi everyone!

As we are not in school this week, I thought it might be nice to share anything exciting that you have planned.

My plans are not very exciting I’m afraid as they include washing the car, vacuuming the house and generally being a boring grown up!

Love is…

Posted by: | February 12, 2010 | 24 Comments |

With Valentines Day looming, we’d love to know what you think love is. Here are some examples:

Noelle age 7 “Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday”

Rebecca- age 8: “When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.”

Nikka – age 6: “If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate.”

Elaine-age 5: “Love is when Mummy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken.”
