Hi there to the wonderful Year 3 students at Brookburn! We are a second grade class in Hudsonville, Michigan in the USA! We are getting ready to celebrate the olympics. Our class is representing France in our school olympics! We hear you are all learning French! How would you say “Second Graders Rock!” in French? We sure could use your help!!

Hello Year 3! My name is Ms. Letendre and I teach a grade 3 (same as year 3!) class in Spruce Grove which is in Alberta, Canada. If you would like to look us up on a map we are near Alberta’s capital city, Edmonton. We just started blogging this year and are finding it very exciting to make new friends and learn about classrooms all around the world. Thank you to Mr. Alderdice who visited our blog, we hope some of the year 3 students want to visit as well! Each of our classmates has their own page where their writing and artwork is shared. Please feel free to leave any of us a comment, we love to hear what others have to say.

Are you getting excited for the Olympics? We sure are! Our school will be wearing red on Friday to celebrate the opening ceremonies!

We hope to hear back from you soon!

Hello Year 3 @ Brookburn,

I am a third grade teacher in Connecticut, USA. I found your fantastic blog through my friends in 3L in Canada.

My students will be excited to check out your blog – I think they might want to give Xzrtle some advice. If you have a chance stop by our blog to see what we are learning. Perhaps we can work on a project together sometime.

Mr. Salsich

Hi! I am Camryn from 3L. I got a comment from someone named Max. Is this the classroom? Yes, I am good at Cartoons. Are you good at writing stories?

Here’s a message for Tom in Mr Alderdice’s class…
Hi Tom,
I bet you were wondering would you ever get an answer to the great letter that you wrote last January!!!!
Well…. your letter had a bit of an adventure of its own. Wolfhound, the people who make the books that I write, have changed their address. It took a long time for your letter to reach me. In fact, I only got it today. So to answer your questions…
1. My favourite characters in my books are the bad guys!! They seem to have much more fun, at least until they get caught.
2. Where do I get my ideas? Well, I’m a teacher myself, just like Mr Alderdice only probably more handsome, and I get a lot of my ideas just having silly chats with the children in my class.
3. One of my favourite books, that I wrote, would be Round The Bend, where the driving school car gets used in a robbery. You might like to read my new book. It’s called Diabolic Downloads and it’s from O’Brien Press here in Dublin.
Sorry it took so long for you to get answers to your brilliant questions.
Thanks for the letter. I’ll keep it because it’s great to know that someone likes my stories.

Hi Year 3,
I am a teacher of a Year 2/3 class over in New Zealand but I’m English. I moved over here last year. My kids will be really excited to check out your blog – hopefully you’ll have a look at ours too.

Perhaps you could tell us some more about Roman soldiers – we’ve been learning about King Arthur as part of a unit of work on legends so your information might help us with our stories.

We hope to hear from you.

Sarah.
